Lootcase Movie Review: Kunal Kemmu, Rasika Dugal

Lootcase

Director: Rajesh Krishnan

Cast: Kunal Kemmu, Rasika Dugal, Ranvir Shorey, Vijay Raaz, Gajraj Rao

Lootcase premiered at Disney + Hotstar on July 31, 2020. The film is part of the Hotstar Multiplex, which has a Bollywood movie set for release on the OTT platform.

The story of Lootcase Nandan Kumar (Kunal Khemu) comes across a bag and discovers it’s full of cash. He does not know anything about who belongs, or where, or how he got there. He takes the bag and soon finds himself chased by a notorious gangster (Vijay Raz), policeman Sadiq (Ranvir Shuri), and Minister (Gajraj Rao), who want the bag at any cost.

Every other player in this story has a different character, whether he’s a politician (Gajraj Rao) bothering his room at work, or (Vijay Raaz) obsessed with the National Geographic Channel or policeman (Ranvir Shorey) don’t do ‘I don’t know if you should trust. Everyone is looking for that bag, but our hero tries to love his romantic wife (Rasika Dugal) after a Chinese meal.

Kunal Khemu is without a doubt the star of the movie. He looks more elegant even if he is simple and has the truth in his eyes, even when he steals. It gets into his character’s skin and makes it look easy.

Rasika Duggal, as always, wins our hearts with her never-dull performance. It is a delight to see her in the movie.

Vijay Raaz as Bala Rathore is a Nat-Geo fan and connecting every sentence he says to some or other animals with difficult names is a treat in the movie. Gajraj Rao as MLA Patil does not disappoint you with his incredible facial expressions and the way of delivering dialogues.

The direction of the Rajesh Krishnan film is good. The movie looks good and keeps you hooked. But until you get to the middle of the movie, you are tired of watching it, because it seems like an endless movie.
